The Maya Were Right
The following is something I wrote to a friend as we discussed the state of the world. And it suddenly occurred to me…the Maya were right!
I think there is a higher spiritual reason for all this (virus turmoil), as I believe there is for everything in life. Remember how people made fun of the fact the world didn't end when the Mayan calendar ran out in 2012? The Maya never said it was the end of the world; they said it was the end of an era, of one way of being, the end of one chapter of humanity's journey, and the beginning of a new one. It's a process, and it doesn't happen overnight. This is all part of that, I feel. We can only grow, move forward, and be better for it in the end. My soul's progression and growth are what matters to me; circumstances do not matter. It may be ugly, uncomfortable, and nasty; I am pretty sure it will be because the preponderance of humanity is not very evolved yet. But something better is waiting on the other side of the turmoil. Of that, I am as sure as I can be.
