For those who care…
The Truck is a 2018 Ford F-150, black with a gray interior. It has the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with the max tow package, giving it a towing capacity of 13,000 lbs., about twice what we are pulling. I initially wanted the V8 being the old gearhead I am, but they were few and far between, so I researched and am convinced this is a great engine. It puts out 375HP, with 400 lb. ft. of torque. For something that weighs 5500 lbs., it is very quick (not so much when pulling 7500 lbs).
The Trailer is a 2022 Grand Design Imagine 2600RB. As the model number implies, it is 26 ft. long, not including the tongue, which adds another three feet. It weighs 5795 lbs. empty and about 7900 lbs. fully loaded. It has a solar panel for power and a little super quiet generator for backup. It is self-contained, so we can camp in remote spots without needing water and electrical hookups, which is known as “boondocking.”
